“There is no right or wrong in the world of art, therefore it is important for us to be true to ourselves.” — Qiuyu Jelly Guo
Qiuyu could capture the instinct moments in life perfectly with her deliberate eyes. There is no doubt that her work speaks highly for the specific young generation of people in today’s world. In terms of shooting, Qiuyu could take total control of her own stage, and usually acts more like an art director than a photographer when working. She has the ability to endow every subject of hers with poetic quality.
As an artist who was born and raised in China, and grown up in Canada, Qiuyu feels honoured and privileged for being part of both culture, which she takes as an absolute advantage. As a photographer, she is fond of looking for the absolute unpredictable symptom that happened by chance. It is certain that she has the ability to give all of her artistic subjects the power to shine with their own unique characteristics.
Qiuyu believes, the artwork stands for the artist, and art is what could change the world.
